I LOVE this family.  I love them.  Need I say more?!  They are too much fun.  I love a session where I laugh the entire time! I just enjoy it.  Their daughter just turned 2 and I adore her.  She makes some of the best faces EVER!  And let me tell ya she was all about running around and having a good time.  I think I could get into shape if I photographed her 3 times a week.  Plus she laughs at everything. Laughing together is really the best!

I think the pictures will show you just how much fun they are!  Kelly & John, we had SO much fun with you guys.  Thanks for being one of the best fams ever!

This is the scrunch smile.  She gave it to me often and it made me laugh EVERY TIME!

Hall Family – Missoula MT Family Newborn Photography

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

I haven’t blogged in a while!  I have been working on a couple of exciting things that I hope to finish very soon and present :)  Life seems to be out of control and it’s not even wedding season!  If you pray please take some time each day to pray for Japan.  There is alot going on there!  They need all of the help they can get! So my prayers go out to them.

This weekend I had an awesome opportunity to photograph the Hall family and their 2 new additions.  Joe and I have known this family for a few years now.  They had been trying to have a child for quite a few years, even back to when I was pregnant with Cattie.  Finally the good news came that they were having a boy!  Soon after even better news came…. they were having twins!!  They have a 6 year old son and were hoping so badly for a little girl and their prayers were answered!  February 28th a little boy AND a little girl entered the world! They are darling and they are SO blessed to have some of the most awesome parents out there!!!  I couldn’t be more happy for them! So WELCOME Baby K’s!!!

Happy New Year!  I love the new year.  It’s like a scheduled time every year for me to sit down and write out goals, dreams,  and reflect on the previous year.  Really I need to do this every quarter, but the new year is a guaranteed time to do it!  I hope all of you are having a good start to 2011!

Me, I’m behind!  Definitely not the way to start off a new year! :) My life has been out of control since December 21st.  Yep I know the exact date, December 21st.  Then Christmas came and went, we were traveling, then moving, then the new year, a wedding, a newborn session and more family things happening.  But, I’m determined to spend the next few days catching up!

To start it off, thank you Laura for your patience and understanding!  The week before Christmas I met this kind family.  I found myself at their beautiful home snapping a few photos of them as a family and more of their children.  They have two beautiful children.  I hope I get the opportunity to photograph these two more as they grow up! Enjoy!

Ashley & Dalton – Maternity – Darby, MT

Saturday, December 4th, 2010

I love photographing the beginning of a new family!  A glowing mother-to-be and a giddy father-to-be, who doesn’t know what to do with himself.  What isn’t amazing about that?!

Ashley’s family gifted her with a maternity, newborn, 6 month, & 1 year session for her baby shower.  So, friends, we’ll be seeing much more of the Christopherson family this next year and I, personally, can’t wait!  On Sunday, Joe & I, drove down to Darby to photograph Ashley and her husband, Dalton.  They had a couple fresh inches of snow which was gorgeous on the trees.  They have a beautiful property full of everything they love, dogs, trees, barns, farm equipment, and cows.  Dalton loves his cows! :)

They are expecting their first child, a little boy in a few weeks!  Congratulations you two!  I can’t wait to photograph him next month!

Perkins’ Family – Missoula Family

Sunday, October 24th, 2010

I have to say, I really love doing family photos.  The Perkins family was very excited about life, and I LOVE it!  Every family wants that one photo of all of them smiling, which often is a little more difficult with excited young children.  I have to admit, I really love family photos with young children.  That photo where everyone is smiling and then you realize the smallest child has that fun crazy face.  I love it.  It’s who they are, kids.  I love it.  The Perkins family was seriously TOO much fun.  We met at a park here in Missoula and the kids were jumping and screaming, they had a cat, a batman costume, books.  I knew this was gonna be fun.  I enjoy just letting kids be kids and capturing them in their element.  And with this shoot I had no choice but to try and keep up!  I realized during this shoot that it’s official, fall has arrived.  We started at 6:30pm and by 7:08 it was D.A.R.K.  We had so much fun, and laughed so hard I got an ab workout, and I can’t wait to photograph this family again!  So without further ado, the Perkins family!

Hoffman Family – Missoula Family

Monday, October 18th, 2010

I have known Matt & Meredith for a couple years now.  When we first met we all worked at the same place.  Meredith and I were going through training together.  They were planning their amazing wedding.  When we finished our training and went back to our teams Meredith’s fiance, Matt had been moved to my team.  So I then was able to get to know him a bit.  A couple months later I was sent home by the doctor to finish out my pregnancy.  They had their wedding.  They both received promotions.  Matt was now working with my husband so even though I never returned back to work I still got to spend time with them at work bbq’s and such.

4 months ago when I was first really getting into photography I photographed them as a family.  Olivia was only a month old at the time.  Here we are 4 months later and I was so excited when Matt messaged me asking to do family photos again.  They wanted to wear their Titans jerseys and well, I loved this idea.

Every time I get together with this family we just laugh.  And I LOVE to laugh.  At one point Matt said something to the effect of “Sorry, we probably look like an NFL catalog puked on your camera!”  Enjoy, friends!

And check out these legs.  Are they not the cutest chunky legs you’ve ever seen?!

If you just must see more of the Hoffman Family, well then check out the SLIDESHOW :)

Independence Day!

Monday, July 5th, 2010

I love 4th of July weekend!  Usually it marks halfway through summer, but this year its more like, barely the beginning of summer?  We always head up to Northern Idaho to the family lake house and celebrate with some relaxation, fun with the family and friends, some fireworks, and some good BBQ!  I love it!  We drove up on Friday and just returned home tonight.  And, I read a book up there! I never have time at home to just sit back and read, although at the lake I always have that time and I really, really enjoy it! I hope fall doesn’t come too early so that we can spend some more time up there in the sun and on the lake!

Matt, Meredith & Olivia – Family – Missoula, MT

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

The other night I walked over to Matt and Meredith’s house to snap a few photos of them and their new baby.  Joe came with me. Him and Matt work together so we just kind of made it a social engagement :)  Matt definitely gave us the wrong address!  We dropped of Cattie at my sister-in-laws and thought they lived the next block down.  WRONG!  Joe and I walked through the neighborhood for 30 minutes til we found their car outside a house with all the same numbers as the house number Matt gave me, but in a different order :)  Joe had seen Olivia already and I had only seen pictures and there she was resting peacefully!  We munched on some strawberries, cookies and fresh pineapple.  Fresh pineapple is SOOOOO good.  It was just a real casual get together and a few photos.  We watched ‘How I met your mother’ while I photographed.  Very funny!  Would add it to my list of shows, but I just don’t have much time for that television thing.

Anyways I could go on and on and on! So you better enjoy some photos before I do go on!

Sean, Staci & Kaden – Family – Missoula, MT

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

A few days ago my sister-in-law asked if I would do a few family photos for them.  OF COURSE! So today we went over to their house and had some lunch.  Then we went down the road to this abandon old railroad car to take a few photos.  We had to go and go fast cause the kids were insisting they play in the pool ASAP!!!!!! So we snapped a few, played in some grass and then headed back to the house for some pool time!

So since I can’t share pool time with you… I’ll share some family photos! Enjoy!

Family is Love – My family – Missoula, MT

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Tonight I had a great time with my sister-in-law!  We had a meeting with a fun couple about their upcoming wedding.  Yep, you heard that right!  We’re doing a wedding!  My sister-in-law is coming on as a second –shooter and I couldn’t be happier to have her and her support on our upcoming weddings.  Wait, did I say wedding-S! Yep, yes I did, we have a couple of weddings this summer!  Oh and since we’re on the topic of upcoming events, stay tuned cause I have a shoot next week with an adorable 1  year old, and a family shoot with Zach and Amanda (part 2)!!!! I know you’re excited to see those twin girls again.  And the week after that I have an engagement session with a SUPER fun couple, I’m so excited! Trust me you’ll love it!

Anyways, ha, back to my main topic here… FAMILY.  I realized tonight, while sitting there with a Dr. Pepper in one hand and a glass of bubbly in the other, and talking with my sis-in-law,  that I am so blessed to have such a loving , fun, encouraging family who live so close I can see them so often!  Now don’t get me wrong, I have great friends who are like family, but for now, I’m going to just talk about those of us sharing some blood :)

I am so blessed to have a daughter who adores me and can’t go to bed without the last hug and kiss coming from her mommy.  A husband who can’t live without me :) To have a nephew who I get to see so often and he shares such big hugs and kisses with me. Sometimes he shares more.  In-laws, mother, father, sisters, brothers,  who are always there in times of need, to make me great dinners, have drinks with, to love and share with, and most importantly to laugh with! Well maybe not most important, but it’s my favorite part.  Although most of my immediate family lives far away…. they too are always there when needed! To love, laugh, and share, long distance.  My younger sister is close and our relationship has become so much closer than we knew possible, she’s not just my sister, my baby sister, she’s my best friend.  And I’m so blessed to be close to her as we both have growing little girls.  Cattie’s excitement over getting to see her cousin Kaden, or her cousin Kayley, reminds me of how special our family is.  I love you all, so I thought maybe it’s time to share a little blog love for the fam-dam-ily :)

First up, my nephew!  He is such a cheeseball.  He makes me so happy, Cattie hates the camera but Kaden loves it… and I use that to my own advantage!

Now some love my beautiful little sister, her boyfriend, and my adorable niece!

And my beautiful, wild girl!

Love you all!!!!!!
